I have a LOT of clothes
We cleaned out Judy's room the other day. Kayleigh wanted to move into it, it has a bigger bed and TV. Most of her clothes went into a bag for Goodwill, though I kept a couple of things for myself (she was not a large woman.... but tended to buy 1X or 2X tops).
Kayleigh's room is now a play room/office. My hubby moved his rolltop desk into it, as well as putting up many sports posters (from the home town teams... Lions, Tigers and U of M)
I put all the clothes I have amassed in the last year or so (that I have had in boxes, bins and some hung up in the back of our walk in closet) in the closet in that room. I filled it up!!!! I have been given a lot of clothes by my band friends here in CO. Plus, if I see anything on clearance and really really cheap I pick it up.... figuring I will get in it sooner or later. I actually have a dozen bathing suits!!!!!
I am really enjoying buying all these new clothes. And that is really something coming from someone who used to HATE to shop. I know why. It is quite sad. The female parental unit's favorite place to abuse and torture... errr... take me shopping, was Sears. Nothing like being a young teen and having your mother standing with you in a Sears dressing room and yelling "If you weren't so damn FAT you would be able to find some clothes that fit" Not the best thing for the old self confidence. Ahhh well, I'm feeling much better now.
So now I have what I refer to as my "closet of dreams". I hope to be into those clothes before I know it.
Later....

Hi Julie - First, let me say I am sorry about your MIL - a loss to your DD and DH. And I am happy that you no longer have to bear all that stress.
I was in Denver the day I saw you post about your MIL. I had planned on calling you for lunch, but when I saw your post I did not want to bother you. It was a quick trip anyway, I did not have much time. Hopefully we will be able to get together next time!
It sounds like you are feeling better, mentally, without all the stress you had before dealing with MIL. Good for you. And you are SO close to 100 gone!
I had surgery yesterday to remove my gallbladder. I developed stones after losing weight quickly (grrr). I am around 46 lbs down so far, and so happy I got the band!!!!!
Stay well and keep in touch!
Hey Jules, I'm so sorry for slacking off on the blog reading. You've been through so much! While I'm sorry to hear about the MIL, I'm relieved that you won't be going through the stress that she put you through.
I also read your blog about regrets and it was painful. I just wanted to beat the crap out of every boy that used you, used your kindness, your heart, your spirit...just to get to your sister or friends. Assholes! I also could feel the hurt and pain that you suffered from your Mom with the Sears episodes. My family felt it was ok to call me names also. I hated it! But Jules, those regrets should be theirs and not yours. I think you are the most wonderful person, and I know I don't really know you. I only know the blogger you. Something tells me that if this small fraction of yourself is this wonderful, then your friends are truly lucky to have you in their lives.
Keep the faith Sister. I see you surpassing that 100 lb. mark and far beyond.
